Recurring Services Maintenance Schedule

The following list is ITP’s recommended schedule for network maintenance, support, and management.  ITP strongly recommends the use of a network map, IT policies, and an IT plan in conjunction with the following schedule. 

Weekly

  • Apply Windows server updates & patches
  • Apply Microsoft Office updates & patches
  • Verify Antivirus & antispyware functionality & update
  • Test/verify UPS functionality
  • Review server logs and performance
  • Apply Word Perfect updates & patches
  • Address network issues/problems

Monthly

  • Perform Minor backup test
  • Perform case management/billing/document management program maintenance (Time Matters, TABS, Worldox, PC Law, etc.).
  • Perform database maintenance

Quarterly

  • Perform data/e-mail archive
  • Perform Firmware/BIOS updates (server, firewall, router, switches, etc.).
  • Clean up/archive system users & files
  • Review and adjust network & internal security policies

Biannually

  • Perform printer maintenance
  • Review network performance & maintenance schedule
  • Review/Organize software & licensing

Annually

  • Perform Major test of the backup system
  • Review disaster recovery plan
  • Review and adjust network map
  • Review and adjust IT policies
  • Review & update IT plan
